It begins on the battlefield near Lake Ladoga in the southeastern part of Finland. Simo is told to be an undying warfare legend born and etched into mankind’s history. “The Miracle of Kolla” is a tragedy and a legend etched into history.

November 30, 1939. The Soviet Union launched an invasion of Finland. They had begun advancing from four main routes. A massive army of 1 million soldiers. In contrast, the Finnish military was less than 1/3 of that. Comprising about 250,000 hastily gathered people, including farmers and hunters. This is what is known as the “Winter War.”
Southeastern Finland — Kollaa River defensive line. Finland soldier trembles, asking, “What is that?” “The army is huge…?!” Records show that the Finnish defensive force stationed there was only 32 soldiers. It was believed the fall of the defensive line was only a matter of time.
The soldiers began to believe they had no chance to fight against a number like that and said they had no choice but to abandon the defense lines. “However.”
