The Crash Dummy character specifically references Rocky’s iconic 2018 Testing tour aesthetic, where he famously wore crash test dummy-inspired outfits, creating a visual throughline connecting his past and present artistic eras. Rocky revealed that Burton became deeply invested in the project after hearing the music in 2024, with the director enthusiastically responding, “I didn’t know you made that kind of music!” showcasing the album’s unexpected sonic territory that transcends typical hip-hop boundaries. The release coincides with Rocky’s expanded creative empire through his AWGE brand, which presented its second collection “Obligatory Fashion” at Paris Fashion Week in June 2025 at L’Église Protestante Unie de l’Étoile, featuring collaborations with PUMA (including the Mostro Gabbia and distressed Speedcat silhouettes), Christian Louboutin custom footwear with bespoke AWGE charms by Pavē Niteō, and Ray-Ban, where Rocky serves as creative director. The album will be available across multiple physical formats including vinyl LPs, CDs, and cassettes, each featuring alternate “Burton-esque” cover artwork that transforms Rocky’s fashion personas into gothic character studies.
