Sublime, the groundbreaking Long Beach, California trio originally formed in 1988 by the late Bradley Nowell along with Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, pioneered an explosive fusion of punk rock, reggae, ska, and hip-hop that defined the Southern California sound of the 1990s with era-defining hits like “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way” from their influential albums including “40oz. to Freedom” and their self-titled 1996 masterpiece. Now fronted by Jakob Nowell, Bradley’s son who carries forward his father’s creative legacy alongside the original members, Sublime continues to captivate audiences worldwide with their genre-defying approach that helped establish the foundation upon which modern reggae-rock was built. Slightly Stoopid, mentored directly by Bradley Nowell himself during Sublime’s formative years, has evolved from their early days into a globally recognized musical brotherhood founded by Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, delivering their signature blend of rock, reggae, and punk with West Coast subculture vibes at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Jazz Fest, and Outside Lands while consistently selling out venues worldwide. The Grammy-nominated Rebelution, celebrating over two decades since their breakout 2007 debut “Courage to Grow” which earned iTunes Editors’ Choice for Best Reggae Album, has dominated the Billboard Reggae Charts with five consecutive #1 albums and received a prestigious Grammy nomination in 2017 for their album “Falling Into Place,” while their transcendent live performances have earned sold-out shows at legendary venues like Red Rocks and The Greek Theatre, alongside festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Glastonbury. Dirty Heads, the Huntington Beach-rooted duo of Jared Watson and Dustin Bushnell who bonded over their shared passion for surfing, skating, and the Southern California lifestyle in 1996, deliver their distinctive sun-infused cocktail of reggae, hip-hop, rock, and pop, drawing inspiration from Bob Marley, Sublime, 311, and The Beastie Boys to create a sound that perfectly embodies the laid-back beach culture.
