Rebelution, formed in 2004 by University of California, Santa Barbara students in Isla Vista, California, has evolved into one of the best-selling reggae artists on the planet through their DIY ethos and socially-conscious lyrics. The band’s 2007 debut “Courage to Grow” was named iTunes Editors’ Choice for Best Reggae Album, and they’ve since topped the Billboard Reggae Chart five consecutive times, earning their first Grammy nomination in 2017 for “Falling Into Place” while headlining iconic venues like Denver’s Red Rocks and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre. Dirty Heads, hailing from Huntington Beach, California, rounds out the lineup with their signature sun-infused mix of reggae, hip-hop, and rock that has dominated alternative radio, most notably with their smash single “Lay Me Down” featuring Rome of Sublime with Rome, which topped the Alternative Songs chart for an impressive 11 weeks. Their 2014 album “Sound of Change” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart, while albums like “Cabin by the Sea” (2012) showcase their ability to seamlessly blend genre-defying sounds.
