The Queens of the Stone Age The Catacombs Tour On October 27 2025 At Queen Elisabeth Hall Antwerp BE Poster Event Artwork By Daniel Mercer Landscape Poster Canvas commemorates a historic and intimate concert performance by the legendary American hard rock band at one of Belgium’s most prestigious concert venues, featuring official artwork created by renowned gig poster artist Daniel Mercer who has previously designed numerous limited edition prints for Queens of the Stone Age’s tours. This special Monday evening show at the 2,000-capacity Queen Elisabeth Hall (Koningin Elisabethzaal) in Antwerp marks the band’s appearance as part of The Catacombs Tour, an unprecedented concert series inspired by the band’s groundbreaking “Alive in the Catacombs” EP and concert film recorded in July 2024 within the Paris Catacombs among six million skeletal remains, representing the first time a musical act legally performed in the historic French underground ossuary with city permission. Founded in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme after the dissolution of his previous band Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age has become one of rock’s most influential acts over nearly three decades, known for heavy stoner rock riffs and albums like the critically acclaimed “Songs for the Deaf”. The Catacombs Tour features completely reimagined arrangements of the band’s catalog, with frontman Josh Homme and his ensemble performing stripped-down, acoustic, and orchestral versions enhanced by assembled musicians at curated historic theaters across North America and Europe from October through November 2025. The October 27 performance at Queen Elisabeth Hall, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and Queens of the Stone Age taking the stage at 9:00 PM following opening act Laura-Mary Carter, promises an intimate theatrical experience vastly different from their traditional amplified rock shows, with the band describing the tour as featuring “all-new arrangements crafted specifically for the occasion” that “twist the volume knob in both directions”. The venue itself, rebuilt and reopened in 2016 with a €57.2 million investment by the Flemish Government and inaugurated by Queen Mathilde, serves as the home of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and provides a magnificent setting with exceptional acoustics perfect for this unique stripped-down performance format. This official landscape poster canvas artwork by Daniel Mercer captures the essence of this one-night-only theatrical event, making it a valuable collectible for fans attending the show or those who appreciate the band’s extensive touring history and the artistic tradition of concert poster artwork.
